My current phone drops connection mid calls in my home. I want to keep my same cheap plan. I have to go outside if I want to not drop calls, which means I have to mad dash out the door if I get an important call.
I already budget. cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ml/post/156382 > Minimum wage job with no health care and I have high health care costs so paying for my meds out of pocket sucks a lot. > > What should I do now to improve my life? > > Sorry about the question being super broad, but i'm not sure what to do from here. Minimum wage job with no health care and I have high health care costs so paying for my meds out of pocket sucks a lot. What should I do now to improve my life? Sorry about the question being super broad, but i'm not sure what to do from here. Save up money? Try to get a better job? Trade school? Investments? Dating? Etc
Talking from personal experience. Being complete homeless sucks a little more cause it's cold outside and depending on the homeless shelter, you have to leave in the morning and no places are open to loiter in. Being couch surfing homeless was a little better than working full time due to not having to spend so much time outside. When I was homeless, it was basically walk to place a, b, or c for food, then walk to place d, e, or f for food, then etc then like library/free time (which for me was looking for work or medical things or housing) then wherever i'm staying then rinse and repeat. At least I could somewhat pick my own schedule and I could do the rounds with some cool people. The shelter I stayed at was also very hygienic, safe, and had cool people whereas previous paid housing I had was in slums, so houses that should be condemned and very unsafe (housemates), despite having my own room. I'm neutral to my current job. If someone likes their job they'd probably probably have a better time at work then my previous couch surfing arrangement.

I think thats a good idea compared to in person. Unforunately, I largely agree with other posters here in that the average homeless person is too pre-occupied to have any kind of class consciousness, but online its easier to find the more class conscious individuals

lumpenprol
includes criminals. Criminals afaik have riots in prison to improve circumstances. Criminals are frequently (depending on region) recruited into firefighting forces. Mobilizing lumpenprol with other facets of society would help increase numbers.
Gandhi mobilized some very poor people successfully.

Unfortunately, from what i've seen, if the venue being seized has a lot of cigarettes, that would also maybe convince some homeless

expropriate some land
This happened vaguely during blm with a police station. Mobilize the homeless and convince them they can stay in a police station, which would benefit somehow or something... not sure.
A handful of homeless/very poor come out during protests already about housing rights or to increase welfare. At least 1 homeless guy i met goes out to every antimask protest. A lot of them go out to church services on sunday, even the church services that are not in a shelter.
Or if a riot has like the promise of seizing a target again, that's something. But i wouldnt recommend a riot.

Is air quality worse in basements due to them having more floods? Like if a house was just built, would all the floors have the same air quality?
I've only put antiperspirant on the bottom of my feet. It's made my skin dry, but not less sweaty? I'm hoping it keeps me warmer by keeping my feet dry. Is there another cheap tactic that would work?
It's not like what I am politically matters in any vaguely short term context. I'd unfortunately do much better if I spent more time working on my direct lib finances or other more self directed activities Too much time mostly just thinking about it, but sometimes readings.
Speaking from experience here. They have enough time. Most of them are completely politically uninvolved, but the ones who do know about politics are very frequently conservative, so i'm not entirely sure how to go about this. It would make a lot of sense for rightwingers to mobilize the homeless and it probably won't be as difficult considering homeless people get a huge amount of aid from churches.
Since basement units are the coldest, it won't be as needed. If it gets too cold, heaters are much easier to operate

For smoke, you can strap a good filter to a box fan to make a cheap air filter
Basically save up for an air filter if possible

I've been having night shifts, and then a few days later day shifts. I've been pretty tired all the time and it feels harmful. I think I should try to find job(s) that are either only day or only night? I'm not sure how airflight attendants do it cause it kinda feels like i'm jet lagged when i have to try to move my sleep schedule around so much,

A lot of the dishes don't even fit in the sink.
At least for me, finding work is hard and knowing i could be easily fired for the first 6 months is stressful.

It's not like the hotplate doesn't work... from what I've tested. The unit has no stove or oven, just this hotplate
Every Sikh shrine has a religiously sanctioned moral and humanitarian obligation to serve and provide hospitality, provisions, nourishments and meals to any man, regardless of race, creed, religious profession, identification, or affiliation. At the Langar (the temple's community run free kitchen), food is served to all visitors regardless of faith, religion, or background. Only vegetarian food is served and people eat together as equals. The institution of the Sikh langar was started by the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. It was designed to uphold the principle of equality between all people regardless of religion, caste, colour, creed, age, gender, or social status. In addition to the ideals of equality, the tradition of langar expresses the ethics of sharing, community, inclusiveness, and oneness of humankind.

For refurbished phones, I'm concerned about the battery life being awful. Since most phones don't have swap-able batteries.

Pens often can fit inside the chuck
Sorry about picture quality, bad phone. I sanded the sharp plastic corners down too.
