@cheese_greater @asklemmy I’m a sucker for blueberries - they’re currently in season. Either on their own or in something.

@rip_art_bell@lemmy.world @asklemmy@lemmy.ml DAYS GONE. I gave it a go a couple of times, found the setup to be a bit corny and quit. But when I pushed further, the quality and the effort the devs and the actors put into it came through. Sure the story is safe and gameplay (excl hordes) is conventional, but enjoyable all the same.
Cheating a bit in that it wouldn't be one of my faves but I am gobsmacked Gamespot gave it 5/10 and IGN 6/5. Strong 8 at min. Sad there wont be a sequel to continue the story.

@JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee @asklemmy@lemmy.ml Physical Books. Love the tactile experience and visual representation of % complete. No issues with digital sometimes more practical when lending from the library. Not keen on buying ebooks.

@ZeroCool@feddit.ch I'd be quite content if it did the UK thing and stopped after 2 seasons. Could be a case of diminishing returns.

@AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.world @pics@lemmy.world That close my scream wouldn’t have been internal. Pretty chill dealing with arachnids and insects (apart from white tails which get the boot) but that’s in my gedditoffme zone so props.
Rosier Burgers has closed. Local joint I only heard about recently moving to the area but saw it being recommended in various places. Tough business at the moment. @auckland@lemmy.nz

@Platform27@lemmy.ml @mayflower@lemmy.ml Those are some excellent choices. I'd pick quake for multiplayer - and SS2 for single. Honorable mention to Dune 2.

@useless_modern_god@aussie.zone @alternativenation@lemmy.world This might be the most classic Fu Manchu track there is [Maximum amounts of cowbell] Have only thrashed the version off Eatin Dust, would be interested to see if this is any different.

@Jeze3D@beehaw.org @gaming@beehaw.org While I didn't particularly enjoy the campaign, I have fond memories of being up in the early hours waiting to download the demo on the old 56k modem as soon as it dropped. Chatting on icq.
Good to see it get some love.

@randomnick@beehaw.org @music@beehaw.org Why can't it be both? Classic albums are classic for a reason, and there is a ton of new music to get into. I hope I don't get into the rut of a fixed playlist, though most of my new music comes from online discovery, whereas it used to mates / social.
Also nothing wrong with exploring the long tail of music history.

@_ed@sopuli.xyz @gaming@beehaw.org I initially enjoyed Blood and Wine more for the change of setting - it wasn’t just overlaying a story on the existing map which I was a bit over by that point. But yeah the story on Heart of Stone just eclipses it. From the foreboding beginning to the tragic ending, with probably on of the most hilarious Geralt quests inbetween it’s fantastic.

@ada@lemmy.blahaj.zone @fediverse@lemmy.ml When facebook, twitter etc ruled the roost, it would have been hard to believe that you could have all these different services talking to each other, but here I am talking to your lemmy instance from my pleroma one.
Speaking of groups, it will be good to see mastodon/pixelfed get groups, but to my mind group-based communities are a different beast than microblogging, that deserve their own space, but still connect to everything.

@maegul@lemmy.ml @lemmy@lemmy.ml That sounds like a filter on the communities page for new / most recently created.

@Helix@feddit.de @gaming@lemmy.ml Love it. The technical skill of the doom map building, the way the content was released, narrative etc. Sometimes I <3 the internet for enabling things like this.

@koncertejo@lemmy.ml @asklemmy@lemmy.ml I use it because I prefer shared spaces to posting solo.on the Fedi. Reddits just slowly moving through the cycle locking things down bit by bit, not interested in contributing there.

@cyclohexane@lemmy.ml @fediverse@lemmy.ml IMO Topical #lemmy instances work best, it helps provide an identity and focus. Visitors to the instance see a local timeline of like minded posts, like minded communities e.g https://mander.xyz/ (Nature/Sci).
There's simply not the same tension with feeling the need to post relevant content to a local timeline as there is with Mastodon, because you are sharing directly to communities on connected instances as well.
And because of the connected nature, instances can be small e.g. a knitting instance with only 10 users, connecting to a motorsport instance connected to lemmy main.

@_ed@sopuli.xyz @gaming@beehaw.org Advance Wars 2 was a classic on the Gameboy SP - Still have it meaning to replay it. Should be great on the switch.

@_ed @classicalbums Out of the drone albums in my collection Sunn/Earth/Melvins this one is by far my favourite - Whether on headphones or speaker, from the opening Guitar squeal you’re off on the journey.
Of the versions released, my favourite is the original JERUSALEM version (re-combined into one track), even if its not the bands favourite #music
Some [#lemmy](https://battleangels.net/tag/lemmy) communities you can follow and post to from mastodon etc [@fediverse](https://lemmy.ml/c/fediverse) [@formula1](https://lemmy.ml/c/formula1) [@classicalbums](https://sopuli.xyz/c/classicalbums) [@music](https://beehaw.org/c/music) [@biology](https://mander.xyz/c/biology) [@science](https://mander.xyz/c/science) Community browser search [https://browse.feddit.de/](https://browse.feddit.de/)
I gave the RE:4 demo a bit of a thrash, looks like a good update that sticks closely to the original. I always loved the way the villagers stalked you slowly with the occasional burst forward. [@gaming](https://beehaw.org/c/gaming)

@classicalbums I hadn’t listened to, or given much thought to Massive Attack for years, but Mezzanine still sounds great. Makes me want to visit/revisit the rest of the discography to see where things went.
It’s apparently coming up to 2000ADs birthday so I figure I’d share panels from a few of my fave artists that come to mind from the black and white era. Steve Yeowell : Zenith, John Hinkleton : Nemesis the Warlock, Simon Bizley : ABC Warriors.
