    @rysiek hear hear! growing at people-scale for the value of the actual people involved, nodes coming in and blinking out as load and social disputes change the landscape of federation, new UI and social customs emerging organically, successfully resisting the VC mindset by just doing our own thing distributed!

    [@baduk](https://lemmy.ml/c/baduk) What made the difference for you to get to and below 10kyu? I'm hovering around 13k on OGS, sometimes dipping close to 10 but never feeling like i can quite 'level up'. There's a lot to study in terms of joseki and life and death problems, but its hard to know where to focus. I feel lately that holding onto sente is super important but in the early and mid games its very difficult to tell what region of the board to even be playing to cause a reaction in my opponent. Tips?

    @ALoafOfBread like many people it was seeing hikaru no go around 2003 at an anime convention. spent a long time getting into it not really understanding the rules. only in the last years since the AI go revolution did i get back into it and finally start to understand the game as a whole. still stuck hovering above 10kyu though :(

    @serenity @Tiuku
    2 which is also kind of okay if we take the license more as a fun manifesto or art piece in its self. but to use it as a "real" license would mean you hope one day to use it in the statist legal system and i really question the legitimacy it would have there.

    is the problem with free or open source licenses that capitalists can also use them? or is it the legal system of privileges that creates capitalists and conditions of poverty in the first place?

    @serenity @Tiuku im not in the original thread but ive come across this license in other contexts. i have two main objections:
    1 if its really about something critical of capitalism then i dont vibe much with the way that is phrased. its got a confused idea about capitalism and theres phrases (like non members setting the cost of their labor) that are totally mistaken about terminology and econ.
