I reckon an s1000rr would be a rubbish commuter, servicing cleaning tyres etc, get the s1000, but get something a little less maintenance thristy for commuting.

I half remember reading a post apocalyptic book, space aliens ruined physics or something, steam pressure wouldn't even work! anyway shortly after the fall they were wearing full plate armour and battle charging the enemy on bicycles...

I'm above 40 but below 45, i am shit at paperwork and composing an email takes half a day. each time I solve an issue the solution and more importantly the process I go through to get to the solution is shared, I don't want to have to fix things more than twice and it is my job to share knowlege/train the new guys.
They don't know that I don't know shit and every problem is fixed with detailed troubleshooting not 'knowing' what the issue is.
TerraRoot 1 month ago • 100%
In my office the only issue is admin stuff, time tracking, emails, case updates that sort of time sucking boring nonsense, found a way around, train the new guys, tell em' contact me if you have problems, so now I fix their stuff and they do the emails/notes :D
I have to convince mangement I'm doing work every yearly review, so far so good!

All the previous jobs were in the vein of either huge risk (pizza delivery) or puzzle solving. Got quite disheartend doing anything less demanding.

Thanks, really glad it runs so well, hoping to convert my stl's to vector design drawings and share it all one day.
So I knew the gearing was too long for the larger tyres, new gears on the way, I expected the motor would die from the abuse/heat (the 3d printed motor mount was certainly feeling the heat!) however it hadn't died after 3 or 4 battery pack, so I went for a high speed run, on the plus side it went straight, also on the plus side we get to replace the 20+ year old esc! downside I have to lend little TerraRoot one of my RC's until his parts get here [doughtnut video](https://imgur.com/gallery/e5HXjlz) Cracked the 3mm ball joint out of it, testing it by sending it down playground slides, thought the link would break first but I seem to have over engineered that. ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/b263be34-3c9a-4620-8209-2751ae482390.jpeg)

I'm more bothered by anti-tankie posts then tankie posts.
Threw some electronics in it, battery just fits between servo and diff, and it's a roller! Handles nicely on the kitchen floor, more strenuous testing soon. ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/9a9633f9-d40a-4db4-bd78-e0d1c3211f4a.jpeg)

Well, to expand, I had a cough for three weeks, just could not rest, took a break from work Monday, got steroids and a chat with my psych on Tuesday, so on Wednesday after two days of no ritalin/deep rest and a new pr resting heartbeat (I love health gameifaction) I decided to start back easy with half my normal dose of ritalin and my second max dose of steroids 8x5mg (I think)
It was a lot like that bradley cooper movie, no idea the name, "I can maintain" just got lots done, including dusting off my bike and going for a spin, https://sh.itjust.works/post/20050726
Anyway the rest of day was fine really, I just kinda lay there until 5 in the morning, getting more annoyed about how I've fucked up Thursday just because I couldn't sleep.
I am probably just way overdoing the ritalin at 60mg a day, so 30mg+max adult dose of steroids after two days with no ritalin was stilk too much.

I noticed as well early on in the ride that it wasn't as smooth on tiny throttle openings, prettty sure it's related, so some fresh fuel tomorrow and oh no, I'll have to go for another test ride. :D
Stopped for a stretch and a photo, odd she didn't idle, but what harm, 30 years old, nope she had broke down right here, got her going again, no go again next vilage, thinking it's the enforced winter slumber, rode home hard, 240kmh, 13krpm in 5th (not enought space for 6th) and pulled in home and idled like nothing ever went wrong.

If you stick with basic PLA, terrible, it's quite stiff but brittle, you'll end up making very chunky parts compared to injection molded ABS or even nylon. best middle ground I've found is a PLA+ or PLA tough, still easy to print and flexible enough.
I've only broken two PLA+ prints (that weren't an engeering fail) one's a kitchen press latch that all three kids hung off for dear life, and the other warped from being soaked in petrol.
Suppose the other important thing to note is you're unlikely to be able to print a drop in replacement part, prints need to be aligned for strength and built up a little more around screw holes and pivots, on the other hand you can print shapes that could never be injection molded, ymmv!

It's part of a bymco magazine rc car (you buy a mag and a part every month) my brother built it, then later bought a bag of spares off ebay. Very under built, but it's what I have.
So yeah it's 2mm aluminium.

If you want solidwork or fusion : https://github.com/cryinkfly/SOLIDWORKS-for-Linux/releases
I'd love to use and suggest blender/freecad, but I struggle with the workflow.
I still use Inventor 2017 in a windows VM.
So my buddy is selling this, it's been sitting 20 years, engine turns over, been stored dry, but plenty of corrosion. Six thousand km on the clock and it's probably true. Tell me I don't want a finicky 250 bhp/ltr explosive powerband impractical smells great does something funny in my pants purple two stroke. Little terraroot decided the paint scheme, I had to limit him to three as he wanted every can in the shed, he didn't do too bad! Found some nicer bodies, learning some blender as I go
Well, stuck it on, little chassis "cage" fits great, think I'll add some more detail to that and release it, clips and so on, since I lost the hardware to fit the orignal body ha. Also fiat abarth 131 rally spec ought to look nice with those wheels. or an escort mk2. next!
Hey all, printed stuff ok? this ones a bit of a mess, the model and the print, still I'll tape to a d12 chassis and send it
