I've read everything he's ever written. A real genius, who was able to look beyond many of our modern, pointless issues and understand the real long term threat of modernization.
RIP to a real one.

Charlotte County water has had problems for a while. Most of the coastal areas are fine, but the more inland you go, the more polluted the water supply gets. The Northern areas of North Port are especially bad.

As a Floridian, it's hard to put into words how much of a disaster Ron Desantis is. Most people here in the south of the state bar some snowbird cities hate the guy, and he's gotten away with far too many blatantly unconstitutional laws.

Agreed. Siberian winds have been hitting us really hard lately. 30-50 years ago in SouthWest FL, it would stay at a steady 50-65 degrees during the winter. Now, we're getting 65-80 during half of the Winter, and 35-50 the rest of the time. It really gets on my nerves when people in temperate climates talk about climate change as if it's this faraway thing that won't affect us for a long time, when those of us near the equator are already feeling the effects.
SudoDnfDashY 2 years ago • 100%
Especially crazy down here in Florida. The temperature jumped from mid 70's to low 40's just last week. Where I live, there's plenty of people without heat in their homes that are trying everything to stay warm. It's a sad predicament.

I should've worded it better. I'm trying to imply that America's going to do what they always do and instate authoritarian dictators anywhere that tries to do anything that goes against their interests.

I fucking love Toki Pona. I'm not fluent yet, but I've already had so many great conversations online with people all around the world, that don't speak English or Spanish, just using Toki Pona. Really think it should be taught in schools.

I'm gonna be honest, I may know how to manage Linux, servers, and the like, but I don't know shit about coding actual applications. But that doesn't mean I still don't benefit from Linux's open source nature. When an application doesn't work, or I feel the need to change something, there's always someone smarter than me who has a patch or a change that I can use.

My Dell Latitude 3400 broke about a week ago after a fellow student accidentally knocked it off the table. Wasn't worth repairing, so I decided to buy the cheapest computer I could get my hands on while I give the guy some time to pay me back. Looking forward to writing on this Ancient 2014 netbook.

From what I can tell, LibreWolf would rather distance itself from Mozilla services. There's no pocket or sync by default already. I think they're going to eventually allow the option to enable it in the future under the 'LibreWolf' settings in the about:preferences page.

Ubuntu is not bad, but there are better options. It's unstable, a little slow, and I don't much like their take on GNOME. Plus, they are attempting to replace many of the system apps with Snap packages, which are slower and worse in general.
PopOS is pretty great. The Cosmic desktop is super nice, and it seems to be pretty stable. It's got a lot of hardware support and is very beginner friendly.
Linux Mint is probably your best bet. It's extremely stable, simple, and functional. Cinnamon is an amazing desktop environment, and their takes on XFCE & Mate are good too. Plus, they've got a version based directly on Debian.

When using GNOME, I really like using workspace thumbnails. But, I would like to add the desktop wallpaper instead of the gray background. I couldn't find anything in the settings, just perfection, or on any forums. How do you enable it?
