I'm not sure how they implemented it either but it must be tricky (or maybe it's easy to implement but hard to make it fast?) if Hugo still doesn't have support for it. I did a search in the Zola repo on github for "backlink" and these are the files that showed up.

You have to link pages using the Zola way (starting with a @/), and all pages and posts have to live under the /content/ folder. So if you had page1.md and page2.md and wanted to link from one to the other, in page2 you'd have [Page 1](@/page1.md). On page2 you'd see the normal link, and on page1 you'd see that page2 links to it.

I use obsidian and syncthing, although I use it for just myself; as long as you aren't editing the same document at once it should work. If there is a file conflict, nothing will be deleted, just the conflicted file with have the word "conflict" in the name. So you can do a text compare between the original and that file to see what needs to be merged.

Syncthing is self hosted, obsidian has desktop and android apps. You can exclude certain files or folders from being synced on a certain device with syncthing. Obsidian uses markdown so that might take some getting used to, but the plus side being all your notes will be text so you aren't locked in to using obsidian.

You can also use another markdown / text editor as well, maybe one that supports wiki links for obsidian compatibility but obsidian works with the markdown link format as well.

I've been playing the first Legend of Zelda game. I'm surprisingly having fun, but I think it's due to save states. The combat in the game is brutal.

It's inspired me to try making a 2D open world game in Godot.

I'm bad at zombies but I play with friends that are much better than me and we have fun. I'm still learning how to get a good train of zombies going.

I guess this game is a time loop in the same way Hitman could be considered a time loop.

Any recommendations for time loop games?

I really enjoy time loop games where the player can explore and there's a story, and isn't just a puzzle game. I played Outer Wilds a few years ago and I loved everything about it, it's my favorite in the genre. Ones I've played and liked / have on my list to play that look good: - **Outer Wilds** - (I still need to play the DLC) - **Deathloop** - **Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask** - **Undertale**? - **The Sexy Brutale** - **Zero Escape** series (on my list to play) Ones I don't like as much: - **The Forgotten City** - I liked the story (for the most part) but I felt it was spoiled far too early. I think by being a shorter non-linear game that was likely to happen. I got 3/4 endings in 6 hours. It was very hand-holdy which I didn't like. It had quests and quest markers which I felt didn't help the game at all. I wish it went the Outer Wilds approach and instead listed everything you learned, so the player would have to piece together what they needed to do next. - **Twelve Minutes** - I watched a playthrough of this game. The story was very interesting, but I don't think I would have the patience for the puzzles, it's a puzzle heavy game. I would like a game with more exploration. - **Minit** - Played it for ~3 hours, it was interesting but I would like a longer time loop. These games have a time travel mechanic which I still enjoy but aren't really what I'm looking for: - **Braid** - The story is very interesting but it's a puzzle platformer with levels. - **Life is Strange** - I love this game but it's a time travel game rather than a time loop. - **Chrono Trigger** - I think this game has time travel instead of a time loop, it's still on my list to play. - **Steins;gate** (now on my list to rewatch rather than play, and it's more time travel rather than groundhog day time loop). Are there any hidden gems I'm missing? Preferably looking for games I can play on PC but I also have a Switch, Wii U, and 3DS.

NetGuard for android. It's available on google play and as a standalone apk that you can download from github. It can see all the url requests your apps are making. You can block an app entirely from the internet, or you can go through and manually block all the ad and tracking requests. You can also block apps from using data which is great if you don't have too much per month. You need to pay a small one time fee to unlock all the features though.

My partner and I played through Divinity Original Sin 2 many times with co-op, and now we are playing through BG3 and we are having the time of our lives. It's really really good. It's like co-op in DoS2 but I'd say it's even better.

Just make sure you recruit someone and they recruit someone to your party (just like in DoS2) so you both get to control another character. But it's really easy to switch out party members if they are in your camp.

the experience on mastodon / micro blogging platforms is very different from lemmy which is more of a forum / link aggregator. I get that the fediverse can be tricky to understand but I think for the best user experience it might be better to have a microblogging account for all those instances, and a forum account for lemmy / kbin. I think there's features that some platforms have and others don't? and the interface is very different.

although kbin is different as it supports both, and hashtags.

    1. downvotes can be disabled by admins of the instance for the entire instance, so it's optional and up to them. is there a karma system with lemmy (like showing how much total karma you have on your profile)? I know kbin has that

I used to play a lot of games on miniclip wayyyy back when flash was a thing, but nitrome games were my favorite:

    • Final Ninja series (2 games I think?), 2D platformers where you could swing around and also shoot enemies with ninja stars. had a lot of levels to complete
    • Dirk Valentine, 2D platformer, similar to final ninja but with a different theme
    • Avalanche, a 2D game where you are a penguin trying to escape the avalanche by sliding and avoiding obstacles. I think this had a lot of levels too

Looks like nitrome has these flash games to download on their website, but they also converted / are converting them to html5 as well. I'm so glad these aren't lost!

But they also said if your computer doesn't support TPM 2.0 you could also disable Virtualization-based security? That can't be good either.

a really simple ground meat and noodle casserole, my go to when I don't want to spend much effort cooking. Good for about 3-4 servings.

    • 2 packages of kraft dinner (or macaroni noodles). Boil these in a pot until they are done. Strain the water, add these to a large bowl.
    • 1 pound of ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey all work). Season the meat as it cooks, I usually add salt, ground pepper, paprika, rosemary, a splash of vinegar or Worcestershire sauce. Cook this in a pan on low-medium heat with some oil until it's done. Then add to the bowl.
    • grated cheese (or you can make a cheese roux). Add to the bowl as well.
    • whatever else you'd like!
    • mix everything and serve

For vegetables, I have something quick like cherry tomatoes, baby carrots, or something frozen like peas or corn that's easy to heat up in the microwave.

Are there any negative impacts from enabling TPM 2.0?

I'm on windows 10. I occasionally like to play valorant with friends and starting in the middle of this month it's going to [require TPM 2.0 to be enabled](https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/16941220890899-Addressing-Virtualization-based-security-VBS-settings-on-Windows-10-VAN9005-VALORANT). I currently can't easily enable it because I'm on legacy BIOS for a reason I can't remember (and when I switch to UEFI, it can't see my windows installation). I have a new SSD that I can format in hopefully the right way to enable UEFI in the BIOS, but before I dive into fixing this mess I have some questions about TPM 2.0. 1. If I enable TPM 2.0, can windows decide to update to windows 11 without my input? Edit, I looked into this a bit and windows makes it very _very_ easy to click to install windows 11. It's kind of disguised as a regular windows update notification :/ 2. Are there any downsides to enabling TPM 2.0? Are there any exploits I should be worried about? Will some _legally acquired_ software not run anymore? 3. Bonus question - why would Riot Vanguard (valorant's anti-cheat software) need TPM 2.0 to be enabled? Would it be a way for them to stop players from playing on a virtual machine? Or is it more so they can stop cheaters?
