How good is the Steam Deck really? (Not a gamer)

Curious how people view the steam deck and if most/all their games are supported?

    1. Find a gnome tweak/extension for it.
    2. Plug and play. Fedora, Opensuse, Ubuntu.
    3. Arch derivatives I believe.
    4. Easily.
    5. Root here is the superused, like admin.
    6. Its not recommended to switch DEs of the same distro as you may encounter problems. Better see witch DE and distro you like and download it.
    7. Wayland is a window management standard, all serious distros use it. Docker is a technology and encapsulates all the components to run an instance of an OS for certain specific tasks. Docker is cross OS(works in all OSs)

Whats the big thing that was pushed to 6.2 again? I think it was one of the last big features the devs wanted to merge.

If you had read it you'd have answers to your questions.

They are trying to merge it in 6.11 bit has to go through Greg and Torvalds himself. The benchmarks, once again, speed-reader, are on the article.

Linux back at 4.04% on the Desktop. Windows went below 73% gs.statcounter.com

It peaked at 4.05% in March. The last 2 months it went just below 4% as the **Unknown** category increased. For June the reverse happened, so 4.04% seems to be the real current share of Linux on Desktop as desktop clients were read properly/werent spoofed.

this video from last month has 600k views. Ive seen several recent linux videos with 150k+ views. Brodie, Horn and the Linux Experience constantly pull 50k to 200K views on some of their videos.

The thing is that Linux has gone mainstream, with young adults and teens trying it out for Gaming and Streaming. The target people has changed so recommending Mint is not suitable anymore.

around 1 year and a half, thats way too long, considering the Pipewire, OBS, Kernel, Gaming and other drivers updates. Not even mentioning all the updates KDE and Gnome just got in the last 3 months.
