Raiden 2 was my most played shmup in the local arcade for me, the rest in thy series never drew me in the same way.

I like roguelike games, I'll check this out when I can. What platforms does it run on?

Relaunch? I never listened to it's old run, anyone have thoughts on it? Other Django podcasts to listen to?

I have a 4 Pro right now and like it a lot. A bigger screen is exactly what I wanted to see in the next version, so I'm happy with the announcement. I don't plan to buy unless my 4 Pro breaks or something. Hope they keep to a good price.

I'm expecting it to be more powerful than RP4P.

I'm not a modder but I think it's cool people can do this kind of stuff 🎉

I need to do a dive on this era of Sega arcade games, I was a Genesis kid.

I've got a RP4P and if anything I want a bigger screen device, not a mini. I would get a 35XX if I want something mini. For a powerful chip and android setup I would rather have a big screen.

I've recently stated learning Django and wish I had gotten into it earlier. This auto admin stuff is blowing my mind 🤯

I am still confused how to understand the results about programming language. Desired vs Admired? One means you use it, one means you want to?

Going to take me all week to watch the series on YouTube, but the games are always quality!

Looks great in the video. A super short clip of the battle system, is it still first person view? I would be interested in this if it goes on Stream or PS4.
In general, I'm a fan of games getting remakes to keep them available.

I'm very curious when this will land, after the GSL I assume.
Also, chill to see the shake up of 2v2 maps, since that is the mode I most often play.

I guess just getting good at pull UPS, I heard they are good for my back
I read that resistance bands on me can help me get going on pull up bars. Is there a specific kind or style or size I should get for these? Thanks all.

I didn't see the diff command last time, thanks for that. It still feels like a miss for fossil to host a web view and forum but not a pull request-like section.

I checked out fossil once and looks like it doesn’t have an equivalent to Pull Request so I moved on. It wasn’t clear how anyone could begin to be a contributor to a project if I host on fossil.

The two health bars sounds interesting. I do worry they will make the game complex just for the sake of standing out from other RTS. It needs to be fun to play, and I really want to get my hands on it 😃

OpenAPI is pretty great. At my last job, we had a code generator to build part of the backend based on OpenAPI spec file, so we always knew the spec was accurate, couldn't have routes or parameters that weren't in the spec.
OpenAPI has been around for donkeys years
Lol wut

The first two games of group A were very good! I'm half through group B now.
The schedule got posted on their Patreon, not sure where the official english stuff gets posted. Tuesday in Korea will be the first of the Ro16! **Group A** - Maru (T) - Scarlett (Z) - Creator (P) - Solar (Z) **Group B** - Cure (T) - Stats (P) - Nightmare (P) - Bunny (T) **Group C** - Dark (Z) - DRG (Z) - Astrea (P) - Byun (T) **Group D** - Gumiho (T) - Soo (Z) - Classic (P) - Hero (P) It's very exciting to see Scarlett and Astrea as the non-Koreans in the mix. Looking at who they are up against, it will be a challenge for them to get to the next round. **Extra Links** - [Liquidpedia - GSL 2023 S3](https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Global_StarCraft_II_League/2023/Season_3) - [AfreecaTV on YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@afreecatvesports432/videos) where english videos are posted after the matches happen
My wife & I play 2v2 so we can have fun while collaborating in a game. We've been on the same 2v2 map pool for what feels like forever. It's great to have some new maps. Sadly, we haven't won a single game since the release! So frustrating!

I don’t see a strong connection between the store closing and the store being responsible for people not being in poverty/crime. The city/state/fed gets taxes from the store and is expected to put that to use for us. Instead Oakland has a terrible corrupt police department and a city gov that can’t meet deadlines to file for funding.
I don’t feel bad for Target, I feel bad for Oakland. The people deserve better.

officers did report finding an ambulance being vandalized amid sideshow activity.
Absolutely unacceptable behavior. Who need to be told that an ambulance plays a critical role? That it shouldn’t be messed with? It’s one thing to call for more police, but this is such a basic thing. Oakland needs to get it’s act together.

I like DHH, I'm glad the less-used tools have an advocate in him. There is a trend to winner-takes-all in software, it's great when other systems/approaches are championed. I think DHH did a good job of explaining why moving out of the cloud worked for his situation and not others. I think he did a worse job explaining why moving to JS and away from TS is good for him. But he was upfront that it's mostly a personal/subjective choice. He could have handled the transition better, but I think the destination they got to was fine.

Jeremy Parish has a whole video series about the system if, like me, you never heard of it: https://jeremy-parish-fanclub.neocities.org/video_series/segaiden
I'm not much of an 8-bit gamer but it's cool to hear about these early consoles. The general narrative is that the Famicom ruled in Japan, but it had some competition and it's interesting to see what other companies released.

There's so many providers, and they don't always make it clear when they change hardware. Amazon AWS feels pretty open about it, they are good. I doubt the resource you are looking for will ever exist. You won't be able to make a purchase decision with all the info you want.
Having said that, you did bring a ton of resources together in this post, thank you for that!

Yep, I love his energy and positive attitude. Feels like he slowed down on releasing videos
It's pretty cool, and pretty powerful what you can do with it. Should other languages adopt this approach? I think named types is better for building abstractions, but I haven't come up with a good explanation yet.
I'm sure everyone knows Retronauts, the awesome & long running Retro Gaming Podcast. Hey their website has some cool articles. Right now Stuart Gipp has a series of short reviews for *all* the games on the Sega Game Gear. It's not complete yet, but it makes for a good resource if you're looking for things to try on that little system.
Anyone here learned Tagalog as an adult? I'm an American so I only speak english and am trying to learn Tagalog. Anyone got tips on resources that worked well for them? Thanks.
I've typed in the URL for this website as Lammy a few times by mistake. But it reminds me to play a great PS1 rhythm game!
There are a lot of ways to play the old video games. For me, my favorite way is with one of the little 3rd party retro game devices. I had a RGB10 Max 2 and it was great, but I dropped it and it broke. Im using an RG35XX and it's working great for PS1 and earlier. I'd love to get something more powerful for PS2 games but maybe in the future. Chat in here about if you have a little handheld or your particular way of playing these great old games!
