Metal Gear Solid for the PSX
it’s probably my favourite game of all time. Words will not do it justice, enjoy the video:

Took a break for a few months and played a few other games, GTA SA DE, Persona 5 etc
Now I’m somewhat back, doing wqs when I can to get my rep up.

Are there still plans to implement this?

I feel like this gem of a game has pretty much been forgotten. Never expected to see someone mention it. Very atmospheric and one of my favorite walking simulator games.

Give Vintage Story a shot. It’s Minecraft as a survival game and much more than that.
Looks beautiful too.

I just can’t get excited for GTA anymore after V, especially with the shark code floodgates being open with that entry.
Even with all of the good parts of V, I just found the game to be really boring and bland. Might have to do with the setting itself as early 2000s are just nowhere near as interesting as the 80s and 90s were.
The humor in SA was over the top but never unfunny. Like a playble mashup of all the best stoner movies from that era.
I have no doubt that VI will look good and probably play good (IV had a much more interesting physics model than V imo) beyond that I expect it to be in the same ballapark as V was.

I’ve seen quite a few mods making it even more immersive. Also seems to be quite playable on the steam deck even with mods.
Thanks for the reply.

How's Minecraft as a singleplayer chill game? Been debating on getting it, just to explore and survive pretty much.
Seems like it can go a long way.

Played it on my switch a few months ago after many years, still holds up beautifully. The radio stations are spot on and, just like you said, the low poly graphics (even on the DE) are so easy on the eyes.

Hopefully the images illustrate the issue better
As the title says, the shade of gray used for Pure Black theme makes most of the text using that shade borderline unreadable. This problem is not present when using any other dark theme other than Pure Black. Please could this be changed so that the text is as readable as with other themes?

WoW, but with short and longer breaks. It’s a massive time sink, and I simply do not have the time that WoW demands in order to accomplish most of the things.
It can be an enjoyment, can be fun, can also cause you to burnt out so fast.

Honestly, it was surprisingly clean. I did not go in that far, just a few steps and it just smelled stale / damp.
I’m thinking maybe the manure was cleaned up by local farmers (for use on their farm fields, which are pretty much right next to this complex).
Here’s a better picture of the inside. Does this even look like a place cattle would be kept? It’s just too clean.
Running across various different places on rides is one of my favorite things. With abandoned and run down locations having a special place in my heart. While out on my last ride, I ran across this abandoned massive live stock farm. Most of it has been overgrown with various plants and weeds. The place is huge, with a large part still explorable. Photo above seems to be were the animals were kept, with a copy paste building right next to it that is still full of hay.

RDR2 on Steam Deck. I never got far when I originally played it on my PC a few years ago and have been itching to play it again for the last few weeks.
Started a new game and so far it’s running really good.
Work and IRL stuff does not leave me with a lot of hours to game, but I did manage to put in a good few hours.

I love the colors in this photo.
I've gifted my D7100, alongside a 35mm DX lens to my girlfriend. For a few weeks I was debating on going FF, with something like a D750 or maybe even a D810, but finally decided against it. Found a fantastic deal on a D7200 in pretty much mint condition, as the guy using it really took good care of camera. Even got a new original Nikon battery in the whole package. The first lens that I got for it is another 35mm DX, as I loved using that lens on the D7100. It's probably one of the best DX lenses you can get (at least from all the lenses I've used).

Man the original Bloodlines, even though I never got around finishing it, was such a unique game. Deb of the night, the city, the hotel mission, twins from that club, general atmosphere… an all around great game (I am aware of quality being sub par during the later parts of the game).
BL 2 looked janky as hell, to a point I think everyone was clear it would flop. I pretty much completely forgot about that game. Just read this morning that they’ve switched devs.

This depends on where you bought it. If on Steam, you just download it directly from Steam.
If on GOG, I do believe you will need Heroic launcher to actually be able to download the game to your Steam Deck.

The fact that both the top and bottom bar get hidden when you start scrolling has already gotten me interested and aboard.
Thank you for creating and sharing this app with hs!
I’m using medium settings with a few (clouds, fog) low ones. FSR is off for now, I did test it briefly on Ultra Quality and did not really notice any blurrong )though it was a brief test) The FPS I’m getting is mostly above 30 but varies a lot inbetween 25-40 (40 is my refresh rate cap). The controls are easy to get used to and cover all the functions well. Only 4 hours into the game but really enjoying it so far. How’s everyone finding the performance to be like after the inital few hours?

Muscle memory, having the cursor / aim be an upredictable variable depending on the speed of the movement feels very wrong to me.
Floaty feeling, one of the things I try to do first with every Bethseda game is to try and force raw mouse input, otherwise it feels like I’m trying to control a mouse cursor that is sliding on ice.
I have not tried the RawAccel druver you’ve linked so can’t comment on that.

I’ve only played a few mintues to test how well it works, it seemed to be very playable. Of course you are not going to have the convenience of having easy hotkeys in the form of a regular keyboard, but it is absolutely playable.

I can't say that this wouldn't help in some extreme buggy scenarios where the battery mgmt is not able to report / read the current actual battery status, but it would be the last thing I would try and do to resolve such issues.
EDIT: reading through the comments in the thread you linked, even OP recognizes that it did pretty much nothing but corrected a visual bug on the % of battery available.
Being able to see exact number of players playing could be an interesting metric Blizz might not be wanting to share when it comes to WoW, wondering if we'll ever see it on Steam.

Under no circumatances should you do that to a Lithium battery. That’s a relic from NiMH battery era and was done for specific reasons you can find online.
Fully draining your Lithium battery will shorten its lifespan. Many new devices have a way to even limit the max charge and keep the battery in the optimal 60-80% range.
Apparently according to the WoW forums, five new colors is all that Forsaken getting as new customization.
What other puns have I missed?
Exploring on the bike is one of my favourite feelings. Seeing what’s behind a bend, up that hill, beyond that forest… it’s a never ending adventure. Anyway, rode a path I’ve ridden dozen of times and decided to finally follow a really nasty (as in overgrown) path I’ve never been down before. Literally down, as it as steep decent over loose gravel. Man was it worth it. The path follows one of the local rivers and is actually a very decent and clean place to ride. Can’t wait to explore even further.

I was looking at getting some roguelikes / lites (already have ToME, CoQ), unfortunately Cataclysm DDA is not on sale. Krone Hotel at 90% off looks like a decent choice too. Then there’s Jupiter Hell, which I recently stumbled upon and looks great too. I’d also like to get some of the FF games, though I’ve played VI, VII, IX and a bit of XII, it would be nice to revisit some of the older ones I haven’t played almost since the PSX era.
The infinite dungeon will be interesting to see in action, from what I've read there's a chance to get a mount from a past expansion. Though it seems so far only mounts that are still available in game. As someone who plays a lock, I'm thorn on the pet customization changes. On one hand these are long overdue, on the other hand we are losing some of that customization we already had with the excuse being that they want the silhouettes of pets to be easily recognizable. Apparently hunters having a massive amount of different pets is ok, but locks 4 pets + a couple of glyphs to change their appearance is too much for both lock players and players playing against locks in PvP.
I've been dancing around the idea of getting a SteamDeck and had a couple of questions for anyone running WoW on it. I'm not planning on mythic raiding or anything similar to it, would mostly like to quest, ach hunt, similar "chill" stuff but would definitely like to try and see how playable a dungeon or LFR would be. It's hard to judge how smooth the game is by YT videos, but I'm very interested in hearing how smooth the game feels when you, for instance, lock the FPS and refresh rate to 40hz? As it seems, at least from what I've seen on YT, that there's a lot of fluctuation in FPS so my line of thought was that locking the fps/refresh to a bit lower value might make things smoother, but please correct me if my assumption is wrong here. For classes that have pets, any problems with limited number of buttons on the SD, as in any issues with binding some basic pet commands to buttons available on the SD. Any issues with device getting possibly too hot to play comfortably? I've seen temps reach 70-80C in some of the YT videos. I've seen some random posts that some addons do not work? Is there a way of mass updating addons other than downloading every single one each time there is an update? Curseforge in AUR is no longer maintained unfortunately. Please feel free to mention any positive / negative experiences you've had with playing WoW on the SteamDeck. Thank you!
Let's hear it, what theme is everyone using? I was on Everforest dark, but seems like I'm moving over to Photonica as it is a bit more readable.
