It is in a living room but I might be able to get some storage units to put things underneath the desk. I feel like having the upper area clear would definitely help.
CanadianCabbage 5 days ago • 100%
That would be a challenge with the space that I am working with. I could go vertical but this desk is already rather high

All good. I appreciate the feedback. It's a lot of legacy stuff I've had across several years combined together and I've tried my best to make it fit within the desk. You can see in the photo I had to use a Simpsons comic book so that my monitor fit over my original Xbox for example.
Does anything specific standout or any recommendations?

Thanks!
It has two screens with and I can toggle between the inputs of my modded consoles (PS2, PS3, PS4, original Xbox, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii), my ThinkPad, and my desktop computer below my desk. When something is being displayed on my smaller screen it's passed through my PSVR processing unit so I can view whatever the output is in VR. Everything is connected to a passive audio mixer. My two computers are connected to a USB switch so that I can swap between the keyboard and mouse back and forth without relying on software. --- I feel like it's pretty functional but I am wondering if it's a bit too cluttered. Edit: The Xbox 360 Kinect can be used for its intended purpose but I can also plug it into my PC and use gestures for mouse movement.

This is what I ended up doing. I also used plaster to smooth things out. I think it ended up okay
Thanks for the tip

Would it be fine to sparkle or caulk right up to the pipe that connects to my sink?
It's a bit of a long story but someone tried using spray foam to fill the hole around where my sink's plumbing goes through and it seems like it essentially expanded too much and causing the paint to tear. I was thinking maybe I could get some rigid insulation cut it to size, stick it in there, and spackle over it followed by painting it. I would probably cut the rest of the paint to the top because it looks as if it is going to tear eventually and it's at an angle. Any suggestions? The gap is close to an inch in size.
I feel like it's not something you see very often here compared to other items like knives and fidget items. I have a JEYI 2230 NVMe case with a 1TB drive I keep on my keychain for backups of things that would be annoying to lose like my AntennaPod stats

The additional monitor is a game changer. I feel like I don't take it for granted because of how often I see single monitor setups in the wild
I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to word the title. What I mean is something that changed in your life for the better and you immediately started underappreciating it. I got laser eye surgery a couple years ago and immediately got used to it and didn't think about all the minor inconveniences that came with having glasses. Similarly I bought a curved computer monitor because it seemed neat and after a couple hours it feels so insignificant I stopped really "feeling" anything.

I think that is it.
I had to look up what the early era looked like though.
I meant less cartoon than Settlers 4 with their kind of mascot people. I remembered it look a bit more realistic and slimmer smaller people.
CanadianCabbage 2 months ago • 100%
I looked up the gameplay because I don't think we ever proceeded very far but that looks like it! Thanks a lot!
I've been trying to recall a game I played briefly as a kid at a friends house. I feel like it was similar in style to Settlers 4 with an isometric view, typical click and drag a square around who you want to control, and a focus on building and combat. What makes me think it wasn't Settlers 4 is I don't recall it having that kind of cartoon style and I vividly remember there being some kind of cheat code that would reveal the map. The reason I say it's around 2006 was because I originally went to buy it in a Future Shop (a Canadian store that was bought by Best Buy) but my mom said I should get Civilizations 4 instead because she recalled my uncle talking about it.

Maybe. I am posting this from Canada.
Here's a photo
For context there are stickers on Lush product containers that have a cartoon photo of the people who made it. I'm wondering is there one person who just makes them? Are they made using preselected features? Do employees get to design them? No clue but I'm curious.
Here are some things I plan to keep from my current build: * Corsair Vengeance C70 case * EVGA SupaNOVA NEX650G 650W 80+ Gold Certified power supply * 4 HDD + 2 NVME + 1 SSD Here are some things I plan to get new: * AMD Ryzen 7800X3D 4.2GHz 8-core processor * be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2 CPU cooler * 32 GB (2*16GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR5-7200 RAM * Asus TUF Gaming OC Radeon 7800 XT graphics card **Should I consider anything else?** Everything seems to work out in PCPartPicker with two exceptions. It seems like most motherboards will need to be updated to support the CPU. I don't know if it's possible to do this without a CPU or how likely I am to get a board with an older BIOS version. It also says the RAM requires 1.45V more than the recommended maximum voltage of the CPU (1.35V). I plan to upgrade the RAM, cooler, and CPU first and do the GPU later when there are more sales. I don't think this should be an issue. I was thinking about upgrading the RAM later but my computer currently has DDR4 and I think the CPU only supports DDR5.
Running GParted gives me an error that says > fsyncing/closing dev/sdb: input/output error Using Gnome Disk Utility under the assessment section it says > Disk is OK, one bad sector Clicking to format it to EXT4 I'm getting a message that says > Error formatting volume > Error wiping device: Failed to probe the device 'dev/SDB' (udisks-error-quark, 0) Running sudo smartctl -a /dev/SDB I get a few messages that all say > ... SCSI error badly formed scsi parameters --- In terms of the physical side I've swapped out the SATA data and power cable with the same results. --- Any suggestions? Amazon has a decent return policy so I'm not incredibly concerned but if I can avoid that hassle it would nice.
For me it's Corner Gas. I still think it's pretty funny and there's a decent amount of references to Canadian stuff but not enough to be off-putting. I feel like an American wouldn't be confused watching it even if some of the references get a bit dated overtime. I have only seen a bit of the animated version in waiting rooms.
From my understanding it varies from airline to airline. I'm looking at the Air Canada page that has details for example which can be found [here](https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/plan/baggage/restricted-and-prohibited-items.html#/). But I'm not sure certain what it means. Can I have a portable power bank that's 160W? If I bring that could I also bring on a laptop and a Steam Deck? It seems like you can bring 15 devices theoretically.

I feel like every two years I need to call my carrier and complain if I want a decent deal. They will do things like upgrade my plan *on their website* to have 10 extra gigabytes of data but won't upgrade me to it until I contact them. There's also all the new member exclusive deals that I feel make it impractical to just sit on one plan for an extended period of time.

Knowing what exactly is going is a big thing. I thought I had some form of ADD but it turns out I was just depressed and the ADD symptoms were just a side effect of it. Being diagnosed and on the correct medication was a game changer.
Both popped up with a slew of celebrities. Felt pretty soulless then disappeared. As far as I know [Wavin' Flag did raise one million dollars Haiti](https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/k-naan-s-wavin-flag-raises-1m-for-haiti-relief-1.898738) though.

It's a Canadian show and I have no idea how it lasted for more than one season.
Hope this is fine to post here. Not a screenshot but it cracked me up. The title of the video is When a Parasocial Relationship Goes Too Far but I figured this was less clickbait.

I do think things are getting better but not at the rate of other countries and a lot of good plans seem to be for new customers or for a limited time.
I read once that we pay the highest rates for mobile data (or at least I think I did) in the world but I don't recall reading why. Maybe it had something to do with near-monopolies or infrastructure? Are there any changes coming that may change this?
Found this neat sign around Redcliff.

Fair enough. It's a bit of a weird wordy situation to explain
I vaguely recall this happening as a joke in some form of media but all I'm getting are statistics about currency being contaminated with cocaine when searching for it online. --- Edit: My dad wants to buy scuba equipment but doesn't know where to buy it or what size he is for a lot of it so I was going to write "For scuba equipment not for drugs" on one of the bills as a joke for his Christmas present.

To be fair do pelicans look like birds?
[Here](https://electromarkcom.wordpress.com/2020/02/12/should-zap-retire-a-history-review-of-zap-the-safety-bird/) is an article that talks about ZAP and whether or not they make for an effective safety symbol. > In the 1980’s, a communication supervisor at Ontario Hydro (Hydro One) created a campaign featuring a cartoon bird named, “ZAP the Safety Bird”. Designed as a safety initiative aimed at keeping children aware and safe from electrical hazards, ZAP is also typically found on hazard labels in Canada. > In the safety campaign, ZAP was a pelican with a red ball cap worn backwards, flying overhead spotting electrical hazards and flying down to warn children before they were injured.
