Ok I can see how that could make a drama thread worse.
Only other workaround I can think of is a setting up a second instance that only federates with blahaj.zone. But that wouldn't show up on the local feed and there may be federation quirks im not aware of.

Most people I've seen using it as their personal pronoun would probably laugh if they were presented with an option for It with Cousin Itt representing it.
I would probably add an option for "thing" with a disembodied hand as well.

They are just AC units in reverse. The biggest effect humidity is going to have is on how much condensation is going to form on the exterior radiator. That'll form frost that'll have to be melted in a defrosting cycle. That'll decrease performance and efficacy. Low humidity should keep that to a minimum.

From my understanding how a body responds to HRT is basically down to luck. Changes can be large, small, fast and slow. The chances of seeing large changes might decrease over time but is probably never zero.
One thing to note is that we are often our worst critics. We see all the things that haven't changed or things changed so gradually that we never noticed. These changes can be obvious to those around us while we remain blind to them.
The question I would ask is do you want to continue taking HRT? Is it causing you an undue burden or harm? Will stopping make you feel better? Will stopping make you feel worse? These are probably things to discuss with a doctor to help you come to a decision.

I wouldn't go that far. You don't have to inject testosterone to be a REAL™ man. But it is probably safe to assume a subset of REAL™ men do.

Numbers going up does feel nice and a post not gaining any traction can be disappointing.
Nice thing about Lemmy is it is so small that local and global new feeds are actually usable. Even new communities with no subscribers can get plenty of views from those alone.

It's very much not okay. In general, imposing labels on people is a bad thing. Doesn't matter how much better someone thinks they know, people get to explore their identities in their own way and at their own pace.
When I see someone imposing the egg or trans label I generally point them to the egg prime directive here.
When someone is just told they are trans, that opens ground for denial; it activates defense mechanisms built by internalized transphobia, and it has a high probability of pushing them further into the closet, if not making them outright transphobic. Even when it doesn’t, it leaves ground for their own subconscious to reject their dysphoria, claiming that they were just manipulated or deceived. The much more effective strategy is to talk about your own experiences with dysphoria so that they see the common grounds and come to their own conclusion about their gender. The code doesn’t forbid helping them to explore their gender; it forbids assigning a gender to them. Or, to put it more succinctly, you cannot be told what the Matrix is; you can only be shown.
As to why some people don't follow that. Either they don't know better, in which case educating them should fix it, or they are simply [epithet of your choice here]. Any community of sufficient size will have bad actors in it.

Skirts can be hard at times. They come in all kind of lengths. The major ones are mini, above knee; midi, below knee; and maxi, ankle length. And to make things harder, they aren't always consistent even within a brand. I don't know what skirts you've tried but I like the midi length the most.
I don't consider myself a femboy, trans-androgynous might be the best label at the moment, so I don't know how well my styles will overlap but here are some things.
I haven't done any super short shorts but I loved shorts like these over the summer.
V-neck shirts can be very flexible. They aren't strongly gendered on their own and can easily flex back and forth. I got this one recently.

I think the classic is skirt and crop top
Elbow length gloves
Oversized hoodies
Short shorts
Feminine/androgynous shoes and boots
I think it's going to particularly depend on what you want to do. A single cheap outfit? Then probably just a socks, skirt, and a top. Fill out a wardrobe? Head over to the women's section at a thrift store and grab some cute things.

It's an uncountable noun. You are asking a question roughly akin to "How many airs are there?" There's not an answer because it does not have the quality of countability.

It's from a meme about an IKEA stuffed shark that gained traction within the trans community. It's actually what the instance, blahaj, this community is hosted on is named after.

That's a possibility. I would be concerned that the false positive rate is so high compared to the rate of actual CSAM that the FBI would just block anyone using this for reporting as spam.
What might be done is to track the detection rate of users. If anyone is significantly higher than the average they might be uploading CSAM. Only issue I see with this is the detector doesn't have an equal false positive rate across all content. It could be that the user just uploads pictures of their kids playing at the park a lot.
BiNonBi 1 year ago • 83%
A 1% false positive rate is probably going to be to high to reliability report every positive to the FBI. The rate of actual CSAM is likely to be much lower than this. If it's 1 in 10,000 uploads, you will have 100 false positives and 1 true positive.

No but there's a couple subtlies here. If you are calling someone brave, the context is important. It can come off as condescending. Also coming out isn't an all or nothing thing, see here.
Also in this comic they aren't saying they are brave for coming out. They are saying they are brave for being cis. The underlying assumption there being that being cis or trans is a choice that one can be brave for.

I love this one too. I do wonder how my past-selves would react to me. There was definitely some internalized transphobia I had to deconstruct in my realization. I'm not sure how I would of reacted if I was forced to confront my trans-ness before I was ready.
