[NOOB QUESTION] Why do you use Rust?

Hello c/rust

I was just wondering a question about Rust: What is it? What are the best use cases of Rust and why do you use it over other general/specific programming languages?

My experience are pretty small: C++, JavaScript, Python (a lot), Shell, BATCH and a bit of Java and Kotlin.
