What would the Sandman do if the denizens of the Dreaming went on strike? And what would we dreamers do?

What would the Sandman do if the denizens of the Dreaming went on strike? And what would we dreamers do?

My guess is that we'd get together with the denizens and make our own Dreaming, possibly with blackjack and hookers, but I thought I'd ask an expert.
