Settings

• Change your Cursor scale if you are playing above 1080p: Accessibility > Visual > Cursor Scale
• You can show your ping in-game by hitting Ctrl+R twice
• Turn on advanced item comparison: Gameplay > Advanced Tooltip Compare - you need this to show Lucky Hit Chances on skills
• AMD users with second monitors: Make sure you activate Enhanced Sync, this fixed a lot of freeze issues for me
• Some players are reporting freezes are also fixed by installing the high-res pack > you don't actually have to use high res textures, just have them installed

Builds & leveling

• Vulnerability + Crit is king
• maxroll.gg has a lot of easy to follow build guides - do NOT try to level with an endgame build tho - it won't work
• Play on World Tier 1: WT2 only gives more EXP and gold and you'll only get that bonus for monster kills, not quests or other sources. HP gets doubled in WT2 slowing the whole leveling process down for miniscule gains
• You can seemlessly switch World Tiers at the Statue of Inarius in Kyovashad. However open portals will be closed and story progress resets to your last checkpoint
• Seek out aspects fitting for your build in dungeons - but don't imprint them on your weapons: you'll change your weapon every few levels. Instead, imprint on your jewelry, gloves, helmet
• Speaking of weapons: Every time you switch weapons upgrade them at least two times. Upgrading is cheap amd the increased stats are noticable. Don't upgrade other gear slots
• Consider respeccing and molding a build around whatever legendary dropped for you. Respeccing is cheap while leveling and aspect powers can give you a huge dps boost
• Pick ub herbs, craft some elixiers - not only can they boost your defense and damage, they'll also give an XP bonus for 30min and are very cheap to make. You can put potions on your shortcut wheel
• Coop gives a flat 10% XP bonus
• Do your class quest at level 15

Gear

• Green numbers only tell half the story: You might find a weapon with more dps but if your currently equipped weapon has Core Skill % and the new drop doesn't you are losing damage
• Salvage white, blue and yellow items for transmog and to upgrade mats - once you hit ~ Level 30, start selling Rares for gold instead
• Don't be afraid to extract aspects from & salvage Legendaries: they drop plenty on higher World Tiers and collecting aspects for a smooth transition into endgame is valuable
• Upgrade your potions. You can find 5 crushed beast bones dropping from an Elite near Farobru waypoint (https://imgur.com/LvuAiYC), near the edge of the second act zone (Scosglen)
• You can gamble for Legendaries with Obols (purple currency) in each main city. Obols can drop from chests and you get them as event reward. Obols have a max stack limit - don't try to save them for endgame, make sure you don't hit the cap
• Obol cap can be increased with zone rep and by interacting with Altars of Lilith
• Salvaging an upgraded piece of gear refunds some mats. Slotted gems will be returned to you but imprinted aspect won't

Exploration & Campaign

• Don't try to do every single dungeon or sidequest in a zone before moving on - you'll burn yourself out
• It's worth getting your zone renown up to level 3 for some extra skill points but if you wan't to move on, simply pick up the first reward only
• Pick up every Altar of Lilith you come across but don't try get every Altar while leveling - again, you'll just burn yourself out. You have plenty of time to pick them up in the post-campaign
• Prioritize the campaign. The story stops scaling at level 50 and XP comes in slow at that point. You need to finish the campaign to unlock the World Tier 3 capstone dungeon
• You can unlock your mount once you finish Act 3 - mounts can dash through enemies and barriers and you can pick up loot as well as interact with ressource nodes while on horseback
• Mounts unlock accountwide and can be used on alts right from the word go
• PC: Change the key bindings for Mounts > Dismount from RMB to something less easy to hit by accident. Dismounting puts your mount on a 6s cd / 30s when in combat.
