A Marimba I built last year - took me a bit over half a year to complete. 61 keys made of Padauk, all hand-tuned, on a frame of Red Oak and Walnut

Testing Federation from Lemmy

Just a test post to see how federation from Lemmy->Masto/Hometown works. Anyway, here's a photo of a pretty piece of apple wood that just got split open.

Welcome Everyone

Hey all! I am new to this platform and couldnt find a woodworking community. So, I created one! This community is for all woodworkers, beginner to advanced to share ideas, projects, or just to have fun. Please keep it family friendly and welcoming. I am one of the lucky ones and inherited my grandfather's woodshop. I dont have a ton of hand tools, but I got his cabinet saw, his lathe, his jointer, drill press, scroll saw, and work bench. My dad came down and helped me get it all set up in my shop this last weekend and we have it all wired up! I am excited to begin my journey as a woodworker. Halvor
