Hey, has anyone heard of a problem with some source engine games that you have to manually preload 32bit libtcmalloc in order for the games to function? It happens at least on arch and fedora according to my system and everyone on protondb... The issue started back in summer and never got resolved. I used to use it but I read on the initial github issue that there is a chance you get vac banned. I am now scared and hope all my hours don't go to waste on tf2. Sorry for that. I now have been dual booting linux for gaming on windows because of issues like these. Maybe I'll try debian or kde neon... This isn't some sort of asking for help, just a weird thing that I am worried about and want an oppinion somewhere I think people will say something...

New to TF2 and just saw this video. The amount of effort that went into this is staggering and it came out so well. I love the tf2 video making community and the effort that goes into their content.

It seems to me that every other soldier is somehow faster and has more rockets than me when I try to play soldier and I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do to get better at not dying so fast. I've done jump academy in the past, but I feel like I'm still a bit stuck in regards to my soldier skills (I normally main Medic, Pyro, and Scout) Thanks in advance.
Per title, I'm going to use an Optiplex 790 that's been collecting dust in my room, with a lightweight OS and hopefully an SSD *BUT CAN IT RUN TF2?*

I keep seeing medic players equipping [Crossbow](https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Crusader%27s_Crossbow) (even though they never actually use it) for extra healing; but the [stock Syringe Gun](https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Syringe_Gun) with the mad milk syringes upgrade will give *tons* of healing. The mad milk syringes upgrade doesn't have the same expenses as the recharge rate on [Scout's mad milk bottle](https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Mad_Milk). 1. Upgrade only costs 200 upfront to get. 2. The firing rate of the syringe gun will determine how fast you can apply a duration of milk. Each mad milk syringe applies 0.5 seconds of milk; the maximum duration of the applied milk can be 2 seconds. The Mad milk bottle will apply 10 seconds of mad milk; but it can only be used at an interval. * With healed targets, the mad milk bottle would not be able to constantly apply the effect; because the duration of mad milk on a healed target will get reduced to 2.5 seconds; mad milk's *minimum* recharge rate (from the recharge upgrades) is 5 seconds. * However, the mad milk syringes will be able to consistently apply mad milk; the reload time is 1.6 seconds, which is under 2.5 seconds of the mad milk duration on a healed target.
