Respect vs. disdain/intimacy, as with the [T-V distinction](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%E2%80%93V_distinction) in the second person, would be far more useful to me than gendered pronouns. To Google Translate.... I have a friend who doesn't really enjoy Christmas but does really enjoy spiders... but I suppose you can't go giving people ornaments if you don't even know if they're putting up a tree or anything.
