Hey all! I made a save editor for SMT5V. Any thoughts or suggestions?
The last post here was 5 months ago. That's sad. Anyway, what are your thoughts on the changes to SMTV in Vengeance? I'm digging them. Save anywhere and Magatsu Rails are excellent improvements, and I dig the new demons quite a bit. Playing on Switch.

I know this is premature, but I'm kinda worried about this game already. I think the prologue video stinks. In the OG, we have all these interesting cuts and shots, the moon turns into a pixel for a large screen, the MC is often partially obscured, there are a bunch of extreme closeups of hands and eyes, that wacky lady with the dogs. The cuts are disorienting, the faucet is abrasive. We get these uncomfortable scenes with Yukari, dutch angles, the music gets louder, late afternoon sun the only light in her room, sweat on her chin, shaking hands, she whimpers and drops the gun, fish-eye perspective from the outside of her apartment. In Reload, we get these super bland establishing shots, all these scenes feel empty, and then we see a generic long shot of Yukari. We get a closeup on her mouth, there's no sweat. There's no loud music, but no deafening silence either. We barely see her tremble. She gives up, and falls to her knees, but not before *saying*: "tHeRe's nO wAy, I cAn'T" I'm not a screenwriter, I'm not a film critic, I don't like Nicolas Winding Refn movies, but what the fuck is this? It's not like they didn't have the reference to work with when this was made. Look at the comparison shot of the train scene. In game the difference is even bigger, because in the original the movement of the other train cars creates this vertigo effect, it's barely noticeable in Reload. This feels like a big downgrade artistically, it just feels so bland. Maybe I'm just too old for this shit.

I'm replaying DeSu, doing the other routes one by one, and I've been wondering about how things play out if you let everyone die. Primarily how the Belial fight gets skipped (or so I heard), does the death clock, just, disappear before the fight? Anyways, my idea was: -quickly pick Yuzu route and 8th day on a "good" playthrough for another route, just to see how it looks when everyone lives, including the "protect Tokyo" sidequest -reload save, do whatever other route I was doing -as my final route, if I still feel like it, do a "jerkass route" where I let everyone die and do Yuzu ending However, I know that you need Gin to do that sidequest. I guess I'll see the details once I do it on a "good" Yuzu route, but, if I want 100% completion on a single save, then I'll need to keep him alive? Or would I also need Haru alive, in case Gin gets sad and won't help? Or, most likely, I guess I'll just say "screw it" and resist the urge to see a 100% number on a save, if I did all I needed to over multiple saves. (Lucifer can't be that bad, right? Right?) Also, right now I'm doing Atsuro's, I am way past the choice of letting Haru die, and will need to keep her alive for Amane and Gin's routes. So, Yuzu is the only I could let her die in now. Alternatively, if there's a let's play, walkthrough or video that could satisfy my deranged needs to see these characters suffer, that would solve this problem easily. Or if someone tells me if Gin dying actually has any impact on the characters for more than 1 day. If not and it's just like two lines in the evening, I'll keep him alive on the "jerkass" run too. Edit: Oh shit, I only now realised there's a message skip option, why didn't I see this? This should make replays faster, I haven't played in a while so this time I'm listening to dialogue tho
I started SMT 1 but i dont exactly know what to focus in each character in the stats, and the demon fusion gets me confused on what get every time.
I've made it through the whole modern Persona series (besides dancing games) and the whole 3DS library. Also Nocturne and SH2. I don't play to play the really obscure games like Majin Tensei or Demikids, but something like SMT1,2 or Devil Summoner (is that one translated?) sounds like something I'd still play. So, I'm barely halfway there, and these games were my main focus for a few years now.
so im outside the battle for the minotaur and i dont have the mp to beat him and i legit cant get back up to leave. the ladders are to far away from the ground so the game does not allow me to climb them. how tf do i get out of here? im stuck between the last area of the 4th stratum and the beginning of the 5th where the minotaur is and i cant leave

Recently I've been reading the first novel of QDS. It was hard to find a translated version online, and if I could I would have bought it legally. I'm aware the novels 3-5 were never translated officially. I would quite literally do anything to read the second novel, but I cant seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find this? I can't even find untranslated versions anywhere for sale. (I've never posted on a forum site like this before, sorry if I broke any rules or stuff like that)

Hey are there any Shin Megami Tensei video games that feature the ability to fish. Don't you dare fucking give me that Persona 4 or Persona 5 shit or I'll fucking wring your neck you little piece of shit.
so i bought nocturne for the switch and im rather quickly getting salty about some things and wanted to get some answers. 1. is the demon negotiation always this dumb? it doesent seem to matter what i answer to their question they 90% of the time get angry and leave if i even make it that far since 70% of them seem to think its funny to drain my wallet and then leave. i legit spent 50 mins trying to get a SINGLE demon today. 2. are the difficulties suppose to be like this? normal seems to be something the devs added in remastered to take the piss out of people who complained about the game, its easy enough i could finish the game in my sleep while hard makes me into a 4 year old child trying to beat up a 25 year old professional boxer. the enemy hp in hard is fine the problem i have is that randomly the enemy goes before you and you just die if they get a single crit (which happends WAY to often btw) or hit a single weakpoint as every enemy now has aoe. i would be fine if they attacked first only in ambushes and bossfights but why do random encounters just randomly get a turn before the player? 3. how in the everloving fck does the minigame in labyrinth of amala work? i have seen videos of people punching the orange dinnerplates but i cant do it, it simply dont work. i can punch before i get closer to it, right before i hit it or in the middle of those 2 and i still take dmg from it. im suppose to be able to get macca from destroying them. do i need a specific amount of str for it?
