Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
They're going to do an AI dueling tournament for master duel.
I was gonna vote for African team if there was one but there are none so I am looking for a team that is most likely to be number 1
The cards are too expensive and I don't want to spend real money on the game.
Greetings! I'm fairly new to Master Duel and didn't play much Yu-Gi-Oh! in general for the past decade - you could say I'm a complete amateur. Now, I've done most of the solo mode stuff to get to know some more archetypes and played the current Theme Chronicles event to the point where I got all obtainable gems with the vendread loaner deck. Luckily, the loaner was actually quite good, so I didn't need to build a deck. (Got all gems with a 22:8 win ratio.) After all of this, I want to dive into ranked. For the solo mode stuff I've used an Endymion deck, which seems to be rouge at best - and I've only got the bare basics for the deck anyway (pretty much no extra deck). But now I have no clue which deck to go for. I don't know shit about the meta game and even less about the longterm viability of decks, as I don't want to spend all my ressources on building a deck that will banned soon anyway (like, Baronne seems like something that will be banned soon). Or worse, something that is simply unfun to play. I don't particually enjoy stun decks and I'm not into all or nothing combo decks ending on a board full of generic boss monsters (looking at the new superheavy stuff). Is there something viable to start building, ideally with a low power version to test the strategy, before commiting to pulling/crafting all cards needed? (like, Mannadium would take all my ressources and it's gamble if I'd like it)
Just this week, I've come back to Master Duel after being absent for several months. One thing that has hit me like a truck, much more than during previous hiatuses, is just how *rude* most decks are - even casual strategies, such as Dark Magician. As an example, I was playing on the ladder against someone running a Stardust deck, and just going through my regular effects (Circle, Combination, Soul + Dragon Knight, Magician's Right-Hand, Ebony magicians, Rivals, etc) was enough to shut down my opponent every time they tried a new play. Osiris forbid I actually went for a full combo with Apollousa or Dragoon or any number of other bothersome negates. I actually felt bad for them, their fun was effectevely being prevented by my *regular* plays, even running a fairly low power deck. This brings me to the discussion - is it really okay for Yu-Gi-Oh to be this toxic as a game? Other TCGs and CCGs tend to not be nearly as bad in this regard. Is it really okay to expect your opponents to accept that being fully shutdown is just a normal part of the game? Lastly, how do you guys feel about how long it takes to make a play in Master Duel? I'm always worried that my opponent is getting bored after the 10th card activation.

This has been one of the most enjoyable events so far. The power level is basically perfect, and even though they're pushing Nouvelles, they don't feel oppressive either. I've had a lot of fun playing Megaliths, personally. Being able to quick-effect summon a pop 3-5 _and_ a bounce 3, along with a targeting negate is so good in this event.

Excited to see what may be coming. Lots of speculation around this.
With the finals happening tomorrow and over the weekend, I’m curious to see if any team came up with something unique to try and counter the current meta knowing the pool is limited. Challenge is that all the meta decks right now don’t have too many cross over cards aside the common staples like MaxxC, Ash, Imperm, Called By, etc. So I’m sure almost if not all teams will have the first two plus one more as their shared cards. Then decks like Spright, Tear, DLink, Branded, Lab, Rikka, all should be able to function pretty well under the restriction. Either way, looking forward to it and the follow up afterwards. Maybe this will help Konami realize just how much MaxxC and Ash are essentially “play it or lose” cards and adjust. Or at the very least get us a banlist that actually shakes the meta. I had my fill of Tears haha. What are your thoughts?!
I know everyone's probably looking forward to Kashtira or Dracoslayers, but I'm waiting for this so Labrynth can get rid of towers (and links)

Looks like a bunch of different archetype support, Live twin and amazement seem to be getting the most, not much shown in this video. He did play some scenarios, demonstrate combos.

It's funny how these guys went from being a stall control deck to controlling your opponent with traps then becoming OTK gremlins the next turn. Been a lot of fun playing them every once in a while 😂
