Twitterpated Velvet Nails

Back with another July PPU polish! Basecoat: ORLY Bonder Base Polish: Dangelfoot Twitterpated (July PPU Rewind) Topcoat: Essie Good to Go This was my first go at magnetized velvet nails, and only my 2nd attempt at magnetics in general. I feel like the magnetic aspect to this one is super responsive! It's a pretty teal blue with light blue and purple shimmer. Happy with how these came out for my first try!

Fancy Gloss- The Toxic B*tch (July PPU Rewind)

This thermal is so much fun! Warm it is yellow green, cool it shifts to teal blue. I love the chunky flakies, and the formula was super easy to work with. This is 2 coats topped with Essie Good to Go topcoat.

11 PULP Fragrance Reviews

Hi everyone! I just wanted to post my reviews of my first PULP Fragrance order. PULP is also my first indie purchase outside of the US! I’m a long time indie perfume lover who have been trying perfume houses that are new to me. So far, I have found some new favorites from this house. The longevity has been about 4-6 hours for me, and I’d say the scents have a medium throw. My general likes are your skin but better scents, white musk, gourmands, incense, fruits, and vanillas. I tend to avoid leather, tobacco, jasmine, and violet notes. My rating scale: 5/5 = Obsessed! Full-size worthy! 4/5 = I love it, but not obsessed with it. 3/5 = I like it. 2/5= It may float someone else’s boat, but it’s not floating mine. 1/5 = Get it off me! 1. **The Delicate Vice** - *English lavender, a touch of forest air, vanilla, and sweet ambery skin musk* I get lavender with greenness and creamy vanilla when wet. I also get something that’s a little off from what I think is the forest air note. For me, it’s hot steam that’s almost barbecue smelling, but it doesn’t go straight into that territory. I’d describe the overall impression as broken up lavender sprigs in damp air. It becomes more ambery and dry smelling as it dries down. That one note throws the perfume off for me, so it’s a **2/5**. 2. **Diabolik** - *Black licorice, frankincense Papyrifera, lightly singed lemonwood, sweet benzoin & onyx musk* When wet, I get lemon flavored hard candy. It’s a sweet citrus perfume. Mid-way through the dry down, the smell of licorice starts to show up. The lemon note gets less intense as it dries down, and eventually the perfume becomes more licorice dominant. I enjoy citrus scents, so it’s a **3/5** for me. 3. **Eigengrau** - *Eigengrau is a neutral yet multi-faceted skin scent with a Cetalox base, featuring additional tones of ambergris, old wood, and faintly sweet musky-amber* Upon application, I get a slightly salty, but sweet musk that reads wild for me. I’m picturing a gray beach. It’s very addicting and reminds me of something I’d smell on a hot guy, but I’d say the perfume is unisex. The dry down is a warm amber smell. **5/5** 4. **Ensnare** - *Rich dark oud, labdanum, maple, and a line of black salt along the windowsill* When wet, I get a very rich and syrupy smell. It’s kind of leathery which I think is the labdanum. There’s also an earthy, dried tobacco leaf smell for me. It’s not smoky, so it’s not bad. The dry down smells like sweet, fallen leaves. I’d describe this perfume as a dark, earthy Fall scent. It’s weird because it smells like my death notes without listing them, but it's enjoyable. Maybe my taste is changing 😂 . I rate it a **3/5**. 5. **First Date** - *Glassy cherry-orange lip gloss, a sprinkle of cocoa powder over a vanilla milkshake, & a hint of softly-sweet, clean skin musk.* I get a delicious chocolate-covered cherry gourmand scent. It’s slightly powdery and very yummy smelling. I think this perfume gives off that innocent/sexy vibe. When dry, it reminds me of these scented lip glosses I ~~ate~~ used growing up. It’s definitely first date worthy! A **5/5**! 6. **Fortune Favors** - *Apple peels, poached red Bartlett pears, black cherry cider, vanilla caramels & smoked applewood musk* I'm getting spicy like cinnamon sticks in hot tea. There’s also some juicy red apples added into the drink. I’m getting the cider aspect, but not the black cherry aspect. Overall, it’s a very apple-forward scent that’s suited for the Fall. It’s okay, but it’s not something I want to smell like on a regular basis. **2/5.** 7. **Hall of Mirrors** - *Pistachio gelato, buzzy neon, plastic Halloween masks, crushed hay, hot iron, cream soda spilled onto uneven floorboards and worn leather boots* For me. this smells exactly like rubber Halloween masks! There’s also a sweet powder dusted on top of the rubber smell. I’d describe this as a gourmand smell despite the rubber as this this perfume leans towards sweet overall. It’s a very interesting and nostalgic perfume, so **5/5** 8. **Hauntology** - *Ozone, olibanum, the air in a closed up kitchen cupboard that might once have held raisins and dried apricots, ambergris, burled briarwood, & the lost futures of a home abandoned* When wet, all I get is sharp wood like I’m locked inside this cupboard that’s in the perfume description. No hint of snacks inside. The woodiness does calm down as it dries down, and a warm resinous scent becomes more apparent. **3/5** 9. **Sonnet X** - *Black vanilla, white amber, and a single snowdrop pressed between the pages of an old album* I get a sweet and waxy smell when wet. It’s a white amber dominant perfume. I’d describe this as dry and kind of powdery. It’s pleasant, but it doesn’t really stick out for me. **3/5**. 10. **South Star** -*Sweet creamy peach, vanilla beans, liatrix, & a woody-ambrette accord, all topped off with a hint of cinnamon* This gives me scented candle vibes from the start. It’s not very peachy for me. Instead it’s a creamy vanilla that’s mildly sweet. There’s a spice and woods combination that’s giving me candle store. When dried down, it continues with the sweet creaminess, but that woods and spice accord is still there. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s not my type of scent. **2/5**. 11. **All your Lovely Words** - *Dried ginger root, zesty elemi, chai spices, split cedar logs, Siberian iris bulbs, Peru balsam & radiant rosewood amber.* I got this as a free sample. Ginger is the most prominent note. It’s fresh-smelling and uplifting. This perfume makes me think of cold herbal tea. It’s pretty balsamic overall. I think it’d be a good cooling smell on a hot day. I'm a fan! **4/5**

Arcana Night Tripping Fairies Review

Hello! I purchased these bottles last month during the release/sale + freebie bottles of Four Days/Nights. This is my first foray into Arcana Wildcraft and I'm pleased so far! As someone who is averse to "green" scents, these blends strike a good balance. So here are a few reviews from the collection, including 3 new scents and 2 returning scents. **Four Nights:** (*Notes: Opening with petrichor and sleepy French lavender, then drying down to the softest woolen blankets piled on a cool forest floor at midnight.*) This is so realistic. It really puts you into a scene. It feels like curling up with a good book during a rainstorm. Wet I get mostly rainy lavender. It's soft cozy lavender, not sharp at all. It warms up a bit with the cashmere as it drys down. It seriously smells like sitting on a warm blanket in the forest after a rainstorm. The forest notes aren't too green, it's a nice earthy forest scent. I find this blend to be very versatile and gender neutral. My husband and I both love and wear this one. Throw is moderate, I smell it on myself throughout the day. Sillage is pretty good, I get about 5-6 hours on skin, but I'm smelling it strongly on my shirt 12 hours later! **Puck** (*Notes: A rich amber accord (labdanum, benzoin, and sweet Tahitian vanilla) is warmed with velvety plum, ripe fig, layers of incense, cedar resin, incantations on old parchment, and soft woods*.) Rich warm resinous woods. The plum and fig lend a jammy quality, and it reminds me of warm mulled wine. There are no distinct warming spices, but the combination of amber and incense and cedar creates a spiced scent. The cedar and incense starts off strong, while the plum and fig become more prominent with dry down. This is probably my favorite of the collection, though I will say it reads more Fall than Summer to me personally. This one is not overly sweet. Initial throw on this one is moderate, it dries down a bit closer to the skin. I can smell myself, but it doesn't carry. It settles to a warm woody vanilla, wear time is 4-5 hours until it is less detectible. **Four Days** (*Notes:Sun warmed mango and fuzzy peach are whipped into coconut milk, Oaxacan vanilla bean, cardamom crème, sweet Tonka, sheer voile, and the softest musk*.) Bright juicy fruit. Both the mango and peach are distinguishable. The coconut is a bit stronger than I had hoped. When wet it pulls almost sunscreen-esque with the fruit and coconut. It's nice and creamy, though I don't personally pick up on the cardamom. It manages to not be too sweet with the listed notes. It's a very realistic fruit and coconut scent. I wish the coconut was tamer, I don't know if I can shake the sunscreen association enough to enjoy wearing this one. I will say that I get more fruit and less coconut now that this bottle has rested about a month. The coconut was stronger when I first received the order. Throw is moderate when wet, but quickly plays close to the skin after drydown. After a few hours, the fruit fades and you're left with a soft vanilla-coconut cream. Wear time is about 5 hours. **Moth** (*Notes: Lilac-infused champagne, wild-harvested juniper berries and boughs, white iris, dry vanilla bean soda, silken wings, and cool water.*) Fizzy! I didn't know a scent could capture fizziness so aptly. It's primarily dry champagne. There is a light floralness to it, and just a touch of sweetness from the vanilla. I wouldn't call this scent green, but I can pick up on the juniper. It blends well with the champagne. Throw is low, this one wears very close to the skin. And my husband's first impression was that it smells like a dank basement? Can't say I agree with that one, but he may be picking up more on the water and green notes. This one is faint (like barely smell it if I put my nose to my wrist) after 4 hours. **Cobweb** (*Notes: Pistachio gelato and vanilla ice cream over soft forest mosses and wild-harvested fir tips.*) Cold foresty ice cream. The green notes in this one have developed more as this bottle has rested. It's creamy and mildly sweet. The moss and fir notes complement the ice cream without being overbearing. The pistachio kind of takes a back seat to the other notes in this one. Throw is moderate when wet, but is much softer after dry down. My husband approved of this one much more than Moth, and says it makes him crave gelato. Longevity is medium on this one, faint but detectible at 4 hours. Overall, my favorites are **Four Nights** and **Puck**, and though I wouldn't say I dislike any of these, I may end up destashing **Four Days**. It reminds me a bit too much of sunscreen despite the lovely realistic fruity scents.
