The making of the Hydra Doom experience. I find it fascinating that Doom’s “determinism” (identical inputs will produce identical results in the gameplay) makes it possible to encode entire playstreams on-chain and have each of them compete against each other. Detractors of Cardano may accuse it of being relatively slow due to its high security on layer 1 compared to Solana, but layer 2’s like Hydra make that decision to prioritize determinism and statelessness look visionary when the roadmap is unfolded. Extended UTXO is paying off when it comes to parallelism. Hats off to the Hydra team! Ps. Yes. Technically I know it is not **running** Doom. Nonetheless this is a great demonstration of the power of the Hydra zk roll up tech.

Charles and company made a PGP-encrypted paper wallet. He is calling it the most secure paper wallet in the entire crypto space. To put his money where his mouth is, anyone who hacks it can keep keep the cash ($1 million dollars worth of USDM) if you can hack it. Good luck everyone!

Markets are crashing. TD ameritrade locked all customers out of their accounts presumably to stop the bleeding. I’m literally watching myself lose *thousands* because of it. THIS is why I want decentralized finance.
Regardless of my distaste for Trump, I wanted to share this (for the same reason that Charles thought it was significant enough to do his first-ever reaction video) since it is significant in that it is the only time an ex-president has spoken at a Bitcoin conference. I had avoided sharing this video because I thought it was going to be Charles praising Trump. But, he's actually endorsing Kennedy and had LOTS of critical words for Trump. Trump was predictably off-topic for most of his speech. He basically just name-dropped and rambled on topics that aren't even remotely related to BTC for twenty straight minutes. The speech was unbelievably bad until he started pandering to his audience about firing Gary Genseler, won Charles over a tiny bit with those words. We also got see Charles being a goofy dork while he waited for the speech to start, overdubbing the pundits with his own brand of absurd humor. TLDR; Charles says that Kennedy is the best candidate for the crypto industry and that he actually has a brain and is a "thinking man" [despite reports that he literally had a worm eating parts of his brain for years before he found out](https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/08/us/rfk-jr-brain-health-memory-loss.html). Personally, I won't even cast a vote in this sham election. I have no dog in the race and sane, common sense leftist perspectives are *literally unrepresented in American political theater and will continue to be until they tear it all down and start with a new constitution.*

I love the tech, but this dude can be incredibly intellectually dishonest when it comes to politics. Google has NOTHING to do with COMMUNISM in any form. Most modern Marxists are **against** cancel culture and woke ideology but Charles wouldn't know that because he hasn't read Marx and he certainly only consumes political literature that he knows he will already agree with.
