What's a spot to visit in Alberta that you think is underappreciated?

For me, I would have to say Kananaskis. I really enjoyed being there with the Tim Horton's Children's Ranch ages back, and I still remember we did a lot of things in the area that were incredibly fun. Whitewater rafting on the Kananaskis River was great, and we went hiking along a path that had incredible waterfalls and an amazing view at the top of the trail. Would absolutely go there again if I ever had the opportunity.

Continuous mask mandate to be lifted in Alberta hospitals https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/mask-mandate-alberta-hospitals-lifted-1.6878038

Mask mandates are due to lift in Alberta hospitals come Monday. This CBC article details a specific case with an immunocompromised person feeling wary about the upcoming change. I'm not an expert of course, but it seems that perhaps this is an alright move to make in my book. Want to know what the others here think however.

Rachel Notley will remain as Alberta NDP leader — for now https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/rachel-notley-will-remain-as-alberta-ndp-leader-for-now-1.6875423

While I definitely think that Notley's leadership should be questioned and challenged considering the shortcoming of the NDP in this election, I'm really curious and unsure about who would come in to take her place.

Growth of the Community

Hi everyone! I know I usually post news articles here, but in order to add some variety to the mix, I'm going to try and add some discussion posts every now and again so it's less of a reposting of my newsfeed, and more along the lines of a community sharing various topics about the province. I just wanted to say I'm shocked about the growth of the community in the last two weeks. While part of that has definitely been because of the stuff going on with Reddit, I really didn't expect the amount of people subscribed to the community to triple. I'm looking forward to seeing the community grow more, and genuinely am thankful to all of you who have subscribed to the community so far, as it means a lot. If you want to see more Alberta-related content, definitely check out our [equivalent community](https://lemmy.ca/c/alberta) on Lemmy.ca as well!
